PHOENIX, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MediRoutes has launched the new dispatch experience, a rebuilt dispatch platform for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) providers that runs entirely in a web browser. The full MediRoutes dispatch toolset now works on a MacBook, PC, iPad, tablet or phone. Previously, it was available only in the MediRoutes desktop app, and the earlier web app offered a limited version. The new dispatch brings trip scheduling, near real-time vehicle tracking, route adjustments and passenger notifications onto a single screen.

Much of the dispatch software NEMT operators use today was built before trip volumes grew, brokers added stricter rules and operating costs climbed. MediRoutes, which has supported more than 100 million NEMT trips since 2008, rebuilt its dispatch platform to address those changes in one system.

What’s new in New Dispatch

• Batch Scheduling: Assigns unscheduled trips to routes automatically, based on appointment time, vehicle capacity, space type and driver availability. Travel times for batch scheduling and trip shopping come from machine learning on MediRoutes’ GPS trip history, so assignments reflect how routes actually run.
• Map View: Displays every vehicle, trip and driver on one screen, with color-coded status indicators.
• Multi-Loading: Automatically groups compatible trips onto a single vehicle.
• Omni-Search: Finds any trip, driver, passenger or vehicle from a single search bar.
• Predictive ETAs: Estimates arrival times using machine learning on GPS data recorded about every five seconds, combined with live traffic conditions. MediRoutes introduced Predictive ETAs earlier this month.
• Where’s My Ride (WMR): Sends passengers, caregivers or facility staff a tracking link by SMS or email directly from the new dispatch experience, showing near real-time GPS location, ETA and trip status in a web browser without an app download.

Developed with operator input

The new dispatch was developed with a group of MediRoutes customers who used the platform in live operations before launch.
